My name is Courtney - hello!
I was born and raised in rural Nebraska.
I fell madly in love with a pretty cool guy in college, so we got married.
We've moved, like, a million times across the country.
Baltimore, Washington D.C., Palo Alto, San Francisco...
But we were made for the Midwest and are back in Nebraska!
It's the Good Life.

We adopted that cute little rescue dog above in March 2013.
Her name is Reyna, and she's a Rhodesian Ridgeback / Beagle mix.
Not official, but it's our best guess!
She is an absolute joy.

I'm working toward my Master's in Educational Administration (Student Affairs).
Full-time student and part-time graduate assistant on campus.
I love love love higher education and working with college students.
Also, I love food. A lot!
This is my blog - welcome!
I write about food, life, wine, etc.
I hope you enjoy!

  2. Hey Courtney! I have been following your blogs (Ice cream & Wine and Granola) and realized you moved from the east coast all the way to California this fall. Well guess what...Me too! haha I was in Ottawa last year and drove out here in September. You said Northern California, where about?
I'm in LA right now, but I totally agree with the California way-of-life. It's such an amazing experience right now. What are some of the things you want to do in Cali?!

  6. He should definitely get a forester. :) I saw you're a nonprofit-er from NorCal--where do you work?? Sorry if it's obvious and I missed it (or if you don't want to share I totally understand!) I just finished two years of work at CARE International. I'm trying to find somewhere rewarding to work up here.
