I love green smoothies and think they are a great way to sneak in extra veggies throughout the day. I got a Ninja blender for Christmas from my parents but didn't use it too much in January because...I just don't crave cold drinks when it's five degrees outside. Obviously. The weather has been beautiful the past couple of weeks, so I've been drinking green smoothies for lunch. A sign spring is just around the corner? I sure hope so!

I found a Buzzfeed post (Everyone in NYC is obsessed with this five-ingredient green smoothie) and knew I had to try it immediately. I had this for lunch every day last week and plan to have it a few times this week.

Friends, it is SO good. I actually used peanut butter instead of almond butter because ALMOND BUTTER IS SO EXPENSIVE. I'll have to splurge one of these days and try it though because goodness, I'm sure it is even more delicious!

What I like most about this smoothie is its simplicity. Basic ingredients are the best!
