I think it's pretty obvious that I love cooking...and eating!...food. Evan also enjoys being in the kitchen as well, and has a newfound love for cooking really good food. We signed up for online access to Cook's Illustrated and over the past few weeks, we've been trying new recipes on Sunday evenings. The meals have been indulgent and oh-so-delicious.

Our first experience with Cook's Illustrated included a pancetta and mushroom pasta (complete with heavy cream...mmm!) and acorn squash with a fig compote. We then made chicken parmesan with garlic bread and a spinach salad with warm lemon dressing. Last night? Well, last night we had hands-down one of the best meals ever!

We made fresh salmon cakes with a lemon herb sauce, braised red potatoes with Dijon and tarragon, and a side of wilted spinach with sauteed shallots and goat cheese. Oh my! Everything was perfect.

We have not been disappointed by any of the recipes. We've been trying food that we normally wouldn't think about making, so it's been a fun adventure so far!
