For The Love of Yogurt
// NPR // It was "Yogurt Week" on NPR this week, and I've been enjoying listening to and reading all the stories. So here's the deal: America has completely ruined yogurt. Yep, I said it. Some single servings of yogurt (i.e. fruit-flavored ones) contain more than the daily recommended amount of sugar. IN ONE SERVING. And guess what! Most people think it's healthy! I, too, was one of those people...until I watched Fed Up and subsequently started reading so many research articles on the horribleness of sugar. Sure, I still eat yogurt...but it's plain Greek yogurt...no added sugar! Also, don't get me wrong...I still eat sugar. I am just making a concerted effort to be smarter about my intake. You should too!
