good habits in 2015.

Friends. An entire month of 2015 has come and gone. How in the heck is it February? No clue.

Back on January 1, I sat down and thought about some good habits I wanted to start in 2015. I'm happy to say that I've kept up with the following things and am super proud of myself!

Remove make-up and use night cream EVERY night. 
Yes, yes! I use BareMinerals make-up, so it was very easy to convince myself that I didn't need to remove it before bed every single night. It has great ingredients! True, but there's no reason to leave it on. I've been using my Neutrogena make-up removing/cleanser wipes followed by the St. Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Moisturizer. It has 1500 reviews + 4.5 stars on Amazon, and it's super cheap! I've had this for close to a year and am happy that I've been using it every night in 2015. Note: I just bought a serum that I've started to use at night as well. Another note: I plan to do a full review of my skincare routines (both morning and night).

Journal before bed. 
I haven't journaled every.single.night, but I have done it a high majority of the time. I just briefly recap the day's events, feelings, etc. + I write down two things I am grateful for on that specific day. It's fun to look back and see how blessed I am. I read somewhere that when people actually write down positive things in their life, they are happier people in general. So there's that!

Drink water. A lot of it.
First of all, watch this clip from a Friends episode...WATER RULES! This has been so, so great. I've been making a concerted effort to drink more water and am definitely keeping up with it. In fact, one day a couple weeks go was pretty crazy -- and I got a headache in the afternoon. I honestly think it was because I didn't have enough water. My body now has a standard, which is super amazing.

Floss and fluoride. 
Sure, I brush my teeth twice a day. Using floss and fluoride? Those are usually the first to go when I'm feeling lazy. However, this has been a goal of mine in 2015, and I'm happy to stay it's going well. I just use regular ol' floss -- nothing special. As for fluoride, I really like Listerine Total Care + Whitening. I'm a month in using it, and I feel like it is making my teeth whiter. Maybe? Either way, it has amazing benefits regardless.

  1. Yes to all these. I have been so good about taking off my makeup and applying moisturizer and eye cream all year! And I hope to keep it up. I was a bit lazy myself, so now I make a point each night and its working! Here's to our skin looking great :)
