Last Friday I spent the entire afternoon in the kitchen with my dear mom and sister. We baked and baked and baked a bajillion Christmas cookies, and it was glorious! This is the first holiday season in seven years that my sister and I are both back in Nebraska, so we wanted to go all out to celebrate.
We made five different kinds of goodies (my sister and I each picked out two recipes, and my mom picked one). Everything was so delicious!
My first choice: Oreo Peppermint Crunch Cookies. Basically, all the best things in one cookie. The cream cheese is an absolutely perfect addition.
I love all things lemon, so I picked out these super simple Lemon Cookies. Both of my choices used boxed cake mix, and you know what? They are pretty darn amazing (#noshame).
Side note: My mom and sister are way more ambitious and made theirs from scratch -- those two ladies are inspiration! :)
Peanut Butter Blossoms were my mom's choice. She just used the recipe on the back of the Hershey's Kisses bag. Very convenient!
My sister made these Pecan Goody Cups. Butter, brown sugar...more butter. The perfect miniature treat of the delicious traditional pie!
I forgot to snap a picture of my sister's second choice, Chocolate Dipped Coconut Macaroons. You can see them hiding on the back counter in the picture above.
Pretty impressive line-up, right? We finished everything in about 3.5 hours -- it flew by!
