It's 2014, folks!
Evan and I had a lovely time back in Nebraska for the holidays. Per usual, the time flew by -- but goodness we enjoyed ourselves.
I want to share some of my 2014 goals/plans/hopes/dreams/resolutions/(whatever you call them). I'm not usually one for clearly defined resolutions, but this year just feels different!
In no particular order...
- Books on books on books. I want to read more in 2014. I can count on ONE hand the number of books I read in 2013 -- shameful. I created a list of books I want to read this year and will share it soon. I'm currently reading Divergent (got it for Christmas from Evan's parents). It's GOOD!
- Take better photos. Evan bought me a photography lesson/class for our anniversary back in June. I still haven't taken it yet! I'm hoping to take the class in either January or February. We have a great camera (Canon G11), so I'm excited to actually learn more about photography and start taking better photos.
- Keep our apartment "company-ready." One would think that it would be easy to keep a studio apartment clean. Le sigh. I'm easily distracted when it comes to cleaning, but I want to try keeping our studio nice and tidy. I'm notorious for just leaving things out -- dishes, clothes, magazines, etc. I want a clean apartment so that if a friend spontaneously drops by, I'm not running around like a crazy woman picking up the place.
- Try new recipes. I truly enjoy being in the kitchen and cooking dinner. These last few months have been so busy that I've made the same few recipes over and over again (which is a big reason why I haven't posted a recipe in forever!). I want to get back to trying new recipes each week.
