Goodness, the fall season seems to move too quickly. It's so hard to believe that Thanksgiving is this week (yay!), and that Christmas is only a month away. 'Tis the season!
Hera are a few updates:
Evan and I actually flew back to Nebraska last week for a few days. My grandfather passed away, so it's been a rough week. While it's been tough to process all the emotions, I'm grateful that we could be with family and attend his funeral. He was a Korean War veteran and actually received a Purple Heart for being wounded in action. He had a full life of serving his country, farming in Nebraska, working as a rural mail carrier and being a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather! What a guy.
Reyna! Our sweet little girl continues to bring us so much joy. We enrolled in a training class at the SPCA here in San Francisco. It was a five-week class, and we just finished yesterday. Reyna is such a quick learner and was such a good little student. :)
Our Saturdays have been filled with college football and yummy snacks! I made an amazing hamburger cheese dip (no Velveeta!) the other weekend -- and will be sharing the recipe this week. Get ready for that!
I found a 2-ft. pre-lit Christmas tree at Target and purchased it without hesitating. It's the biggest tree we can fit in our small studio apartment. How cute is it?
Hope life has been good to you!
