It's no secret I love wine. Full-bodied reds, sweet whites and pretty pinks. I am unbiased when it comes to wine!
Evan and I drink a lot of wine, so the wine we purchase can't be terribly expensive (no shame -- that's just real life!). Our wine club offers wine in the mid-price range ($35-45), but that price is not realistic for each bottle we consume.
I love trying new wine -- especially reasonably priced wine that is within my budget. When I was selected to try the new Barefoot Refresh wines, which retail at $8, I couldn't wait to indulge.
I tried both the Summer Red (Pinor Noir Rosé blended with Moscato) and Crisp White (Riesling blended with Chenin Blanc) flavors. I enjoyed both, but I definitely preferred the Crisp White -- extremely refreshing with the perfect amount of sweetness (not too much!). I'm a huge fan of Pinot Noir Rosés but the sweetness from the Moscato was just a bit too much for my taste.
The Barefoot Refresh line was created in response to the ever-increasing wine gatherings that extend beyond the traditional dinner table. I would obviously choose a basic wine to enjoy with dinner, but the Refresh line is so light and crisp that it'd make a great wine to sip on the patio while soaking up the sun or pair with a few appetizers before the main event.
And if you're wondering, my darling husband who leans toward deep, dark reds whenever given the chance, enjoyed both of these wines as well! My dear mother (who is definitely a fan of sweeter wine) would equally enjoy these. She's coming out to visit with my dad in a few weeks, and I'm planning to get the Crisp White (and maybe even the Perfectly Pink)!
Have you tried any of the Barefoot Refresh flavors?!
