Goodness. It has been such a lovely weekend! Evan and I made the short trip to Napa yesterday and then spent the night -- it was a wonderful birthday present! We had breakfast at Bouchon Bakery, stopped at four wineries and enjoyed the beautiful weather. I'll share more details later this week!
That, my friends, is Lemon Cream Butter Cake. I was sold on a chocolate cake with salted caramel frosting for my birthday treat but came across this butter cake on Pinterest last week. The lemon was calling my name! Even though my birthday is tomorrow, you can bet we'll be digging into this cake tonight!
I made a few slight changes to the recipe, and I'll be sharing it soon.
