How was your weekend?! I thoroughly enjoyed mine! The huge fundraising dinner/auction that I was planning for work happened on Friday, so I was very excited to sleep in on Saturday. I then proceeded to watch close to 12 hours of college football, and it was glorious.
As you've heard me mention several times before, I love soup. Like, I could seriously eat it for lunch and dinner every single day.
A few weeks ago at Foodbuzz, I tried some soup from the local Bay Area company, Cook! SF. They asked if I'd be interested in trying some other Real Simple Delicious soup flavors (yes, duh!), so they sent me three varieties to try: Carrot Ginger, Red Lentil and Tomato.
I enjoyed the Carrot Ginger on Saturday afternoon while watching football. Not exactly traditional football-watching food, but goodness, it was wonderful! The texture was great, and the ginger wasn't too overpowering...just perfect! I poured the soup into a bowl and microwaved it for two minutes - that was it. Love the simplicity of soup!
Cook! SF is proving that packaged food doesn't have to mean processed food. Read the ingredients in the Carrot Ginger soup: water, carrots, coconut milk, onions, leeks, olive oil, lime juice, ginger, herbs and spices, kosher salt and pepper.
Cool, right? I'm excited to try the other flavors!
Psst - Cook! SF sent me their product to try. All opinions expressed are my own, as always!
