I'm embracing fall with wide open arms, my friends. I may very well be on the borderline of obsessed, but I'm just going with it. 


Two weeks ago I had acorn squash for dinner one night and the following night I had spaghetti squash. Evan and I went to the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival with friends last weekend where I ate pumpkin macaroni & cheese and pumpkin pie. We're receiving pears every week in our produce delivery box. And I can't even tell you how many six-packs of pumpkin beer and autumn seasonal ales we've gone through.

And we must not forget hot apple cider!

I love the version from Trader Joe's, but I like to jazz it up a bit. I add in some orange slices and cinnamon sticks, and it's perfect! They add another depth of flavor to this hot drink, and I love it.

Evan takes it one step further and adds a shot of Maker's Mark...what a man.
