Hey! Hope your week is already off to a great start! Evan and I had quite the enjoyable weekend. We love exploring our new city and fall more in love with San Francisco every day. It's a great feeling!
One of the fabulous things about our new home means that we have a grill! Our apartment complex has two grills on the rooftop deck, and we've definitely been using them. We never grilled when we were at Stanford, so this is a change that we're definitely happy about!
We picked up some fresh corn at Whole Foods because it was only 33 cents/cob! Gosh, I love when veggies are cheap! I've heard about grilling corn on the cob but had never tried it - until yesterday!
After removing the husks and silk, I spread a little butter on each cob. I then placed them on two sheets of foil big enough to fully wrap around the corn (wrap the cobs separately). Before wrapping the corn, I added in a clove of smashed garlic to each cob. We grilled the corn for 15 minutes over medium heat, turning a few times.
Seriously the garlic flavor is so delicious with the corn! It adds great flavor, but it's not overbearing. Definitely try this!
