Oh, hey! How has Monday been treating you? Mine has been going well. I have a seminar to attend later tonight for work, so I was able to leave the office a little bit earlier than I had anticipated. I took advantage of my free time and went for a run!

I tackled 3 miles in 30 minutes, and man! It was windy. I've actually been impressed that Northern California doesn't experience too much wind. Nebraska on the other hand? Terrible. So while I was a wee bit disappointed about it today, I know that it could definitely be worse. (And I also know that my dearest friends from Nebraska are laughing after reading this - they know my feelings toward wind!) 

When I got back from my run, I refueled with a smoothie.

It actually resembled a Christmas Smoothie!

Ok, I'm not usually one to pretend that healthy things taste like indulgent treats. Don't get me wrong, I think healthy food can taste great. I just hardly compare the two - it's like comparing apples to oranges.

HOWEVER, I swear this smoothie tasted just like skittles. And I am not complaining.

Skittles Smoothie

1 handful of spinach
1/3 cup plain Chobani
3/4 cup orange juice
1 frozen banana, sliced
1/2 cup frozen mango
3 strawberries
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder

Try this and taste the rainbow. :)

By the way, remember this sweet girl?

Rachel - a sorority sister of mine who visited the Bay Area back in February - actually lives in Joplin, Missouri. She was out of town this past weekend and was able to wait out the storms before heading back. Please keep Joplin in your prayers.
