Ice Cream, But Not Really

I show these pictures out of love, my friends.

After enjoying this sunset while eating dinner on our new patio set last night, I started to crave ice cream. Naturally.

But no ice cream was to be found in the freezer! I had heard about "banana ice cream" before but had never tried it. Well now that my dear parents gave me a mini food processor, I could finally test out this treat for myself! *I believe Choosing Raw started the banana ice cream trend - let me know if I'm wrong!

I tossed in two frozen bananas - cut into chunks. <- Does anyone else think that's a funny word? Anyway, I also added in one tablespoon of chocolate soy milk to get things a moving.

After a little processing - it turned into soft-serve ice cream! Look at it!

Yes, it did have a banana flavor to it, but it was honestly pretty darn delicious. I may have added a drizzle of chocolate syrup over the top - ya know, to achieve a healthy balance!

I can't believe it's the weekend already - woohoo! I'm sipping on a delicious smoothie (pomegranate-pineapple) right now and waiting for Evan to get home, so we can hit up Target. We heart going to Target together!

Pomegranate-Pineapple Smoothie

1 large handful of spinach
1/2 cup skim milk (out of almond!)
1 container of TJ's pomegranate Greek yogurt
1/2 frozen banana, sliced
1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks <- ha! :)

Blend & enjoy!

Do you add spinach to your smoothies?

I used to be against it - I was a fan of EATING my salads, not drinking them. But now I feel it's a great way to sneak in an extra serving of veggies when I'm making a smoothie for a snack.
