Hi, friends! Hope your day has been going well! Mine was busy - but good! Poor Evan didn't get to bed until 5:45AM last night (slash morning!) and woke up at 8:00. Good news though - he is giving a final presentation for one of his classes right now. Woo!
Keeping with tradition...it's Tuesday, so let's look at our CSA produce!
There it is! Pretty fabulous, eh?!
Look at all those colors. Here's the line-up: chard, lettuce, peas, broccoli, carrots, onions, beets, potatoes, apples, pears, oranges & mandarins (first time getting mandarins!). All for $23!
I've gotten a few emails regarding CSA programs (keep them coming!) and have been asked about the amount of produce in each box. Here are the exact numbers in terms of fruit that we received this week:
- 6 apples
- 6 mandarins
- 4 oranges
- 3 pears
This lasts us the entire week - but remember, we do buy bananas every week at Trader Joe's. I also keep frozen bananas and berries on hand for smoothies. This week we purchased some blueberries at TJ's because they were insanely cheap. Other than these occurrences, we stick to the CSA fruit.
Would you ever consider joining a CSA program (or do you already!)?
